Recently I fell for Muramasa-san x Yuri-kun, as ridiculous as it seems to be. I just singularly like Yuri, so I also like seeing Yuri (or Lunatic) as a part of gags. So I wasn’t thinking of these two as a couple for much reason, but just because I like the two of them.
So then when I was thinking about when Kotetsu-san was young, I thought that the destructive Kotetsu might have gotten Muramasa to appear for him in court a lot of times. Kotetsu would say, “My bad, bro…sorry for this all the time.”, and Muramasa would think something along the lines of “Aaah, calling me out again? I really hate that old man at court, so much pressure…”, while driving his crappy van to Sternbild. Except, when sitting in the stand, the one who walked into the courtroom to take the judge’s seat wasn’t the usual old man, but a slender bishounen… Yuri, who had just become a judge then.
Muramasa was hit by lightning. “…!! My…my Björn Andrésen!!” Muramasa had already come to terms with sexuality, but having never committed to someone else before, was a little frightened - it was a first for both him and Yuri. Yes, a first love which is way too late; so he went at pursuing it viciously.
From that, Yuri was at a loss of what to do. He held hate, regret, doubt towards his father, Legend - sticking to the concept of “justice” with a stubborn obsession, and governed himself strictly and earnestly. His father had lost to the sweet temptation of being a hero, and drowned in fame and alcohol. Yuri, hating that father, held himself at a certain distance away from the same heroes, like Kotetsu. A relative of a hero, he held at an even further distance. He had vague thoughts that Kotetsu’s thinking may be different to his father, but he also knew that Kotetsu’s justice was different from his own.
Yuri’s greatest fear is his own resolve weakening, and not being able to uphold justice - which is why he never dated. Muramasa, not giving up and reaching towards him, loving him even though he had such parentage, was the most frightening existence to him in the whole world. All along, for the however many years Muramasa has already loved Yuri and only Yuri.
When guardedly telling Muramasa about his father, Yuri told him about a thought he had about “Lunatic”. Muramasa nodded. “I’ll see your justice through. Even if it places me against Kotetsu.” He said that both sides were “justified”, and laughed. Yuri, with a lot on his heart, cried with Muramasa holding him. On that day, they became lovers.
